Twitter Rumor Roundup involving the Panthers, Canadiens, Avalanche, Maple Leafs, Hurricanes and Flyers

I added audio and video to the Kovalev trade post from yesterday.

  • Nick Kypreos via twitter: Kypreos is hearing that Panthers center Stephen Weiss may be warming up to the idea of waiving his no trade clause. Darren Dreger via twitter: If the Panthers decide to move Stephen Weiss, they’ll need a center coming back. Pierre LeBrun via twitter: Panthers GM Dale Tallon said he’d have to his socks knocked off to move Weiss.
  • Darren Dreger via twitter: The asking price for John-Michael Liles may be a 2nd round pick. The Avs should be able to get that, the Maple Leafs may not want to go that high.
  • Kevin McGran via twitter: McGran reports that Darren Dregen said that the Maple Leafs may be able to get more for Clarke MacArthur than they did for Kris Versteeg (1st and 3rd round picks) if they decide to move him.
  • Dave Stubbs via twitter: Scouts at the Canadiens-Leafs game last night: Blackhawks, Penguins, Flyers, Canucks, Islanders, Lightning, Wild, Atlanta, and 3 from the Senators.
  • Philadeliphia Flyers via twitter: Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said, “Surgery to repair shoulder instability will be performed in the next few days. Oskars (Bartulis) will be out 10-12 weeks.”
