Rumors and Video: Petry, Caps, Jagr, Letestu and Flyers Talk
  • The Fourth Period: The Oilers continue to listen to offers for defenseman Jeff Petry. The Kings, Lightning and Blackhawks recently scouted the Oilers and have been linked to Petry. The Red Wings, Bruins, Penguins and Ducks have all considered him. It is thought that GM Craig MacTavish is looking for a second round pick and a prospect.
  • The Fourth Period: The Capitals continue to look for a top-six winger. They have been linked to Antoine Vermette, Jiri Tlusty, Joffrey Lupul, Jaromir Jagr and others. The Caps have about $1.5 million in cap space. If they were to bring in a player with term, and a bigger cap hit, like Lupul, they would likely have to include at least one roster play going the other way.
  • Andrew Walker: A Curtis Glencross to the Capitals is getting closer. He’s willing to waive his no-trade clause to go to Washington. The Capitals are not the only team that is looking to add Glencross, but looking like the front runner.
  • Renaud Lavoie: Devils Jaromir Jagr doesn’t have a no-trade clause but he’s expected to be consulted before a trade is going to happen.
  • Aaron Portzline: Blue Jackets Mark Letestu doesn’t have a modified no-trade clause. He doesn’t want to leave.
  • Mike Halford: After the Sean Bergenheim trade, will be interesting to see what the Leafs can get for Daniel Winnik as both were producing almost at the same pace, 0.46 to 0.43 PPG.
  • Corey Pronman: Russian press is reporting that KHL goalie Ivan Nalimov plans to sign with the Blackhawks when his deal is up. Can start the 2016-17 season.
