Former goon Chris Nilan had his shoplifting charge dismissed. It’s hard not to laugh at this. ‘Knuckles’ was apparently trying to steal a bathing suit, he walked out of the store with them under his pants, Nilan denied he was stealing. One to many punches to head I guess. Updated with more comedy: Nilan told the cops; “I just wanted to save a few bucks,”, and that he took a swing at one of the security guards.
Colby Armstrong re-upped with the Thrashers for 1 year, at a reported $2.4 million. Armstrong scored 22 goals and added 18 assists in his first full season in Atlanta.
