NHL Signings: Wild, Coyotes, Devils, Rangers and Santorelli
Matt Dumba of the Minnesota Wild and Anthony Duclair of the Arizona Coyotes
On the Minnesota Wild …

Chad Graff of the Pioneer Press: The Wild have signed 22-year old RFA defenseman Matt Dumba to a two-year, $5.1 million contract. He will make $2.35 million next season and $2.75 million in 2017-18. Dumba was the Wild’s last remaining restricted free agent.

Cap Friendly: After signing Dumba, the Wild have $2.16 million in projected salary cap space with 21 players under contract – 12 forwards, seven defenseman and two goaltenders.

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Craig Morgan: Michael Stone signed a one-year, $4 million deal with the Coyotes. Stone: “It’s a good number, it’s a significant increase for me. It just goes to show that I had a good season last year. The one-year deal is going to give me a chance to prove myself and hopefully we can look at something longer down the road.”

Craig Morgan: Stone said that his ACL injury had an impact on contract negotiations: “I would love to be here long term. That’s a goal.” Stone’s rehab is on track and he’ll begin skating in the near future.

Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports: The Coyotes signed RFA defenseman Connor Murphy to a six-year deal worth $23.1 million – a $3.85 million salary cap hit.

“Ever-evolving is a good word,” Coyotes general manager John Chayka said of the Arizona blue line, which added free agents Alex Goligoski and Luke Schenn earlier this summer. “We’re continuing to kind of firm up our plan, our blueprint. It still needs some work and we’re still chipping away at a few different things but I think we’ve upgraded it.

“We’re happy to get these two guys signed; both right shots which are obviously difficult to find. Both had good years — career years last year and really bought into what the coaching staff was trying to preach with more involvement from the back end in our offense and moving pucks more efficiently.”

On the New Jersey Devils …

NJ Devils PR: The Devils have signed Brandon Gormley to a one-year, two-way deal worth $650,000.

On Mike Santorelli …

General Fanager: Mike Santorelli has signed with Geneve-Servette HC of the Swiss League.

On the New York Rangers …

Renaud Lavoie: Maxim Lapierre will attend the Rangers training camp on a tryout.

NY Rangers: The Rangers have re-signed RFA Marek Hrivik.

On the Edmonton Oilers …

Edmonton Oilers: The Oilers have loaned Bogdan Yakimov to the Neftekhimik of the KHL.
