On the Arizona Coyotes …

Craig Morgan: As of late last night, don’t expect Shane Doan to re-sign before free agency gets underway at noon ET.

Craig Morgan: The Coyotes are looking at Jamie McGinn.

Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports: The Coyotes are still pursuing trades leading up to the start of free agency. If they can’t trade for someone like Kevin Shattenkirk, Matt Dumba or Jacob Trouba, the could be force to go after a lesser defenseman in free agency.

The Coyotes would like to add some more scoring a veteran goalie for their AHL team.

Free agent options on the wing include Jamie McGinn, Troy Brouwer, Loui Eriksson, Andrew Ladd, Mikkel Boedker and Alex Tanguay.

If they are looking for a center, options could be David Backes, Frans Nielsen and Eric Staal.
