NHL Rumors: Panthers, Canucks, Avalanche and Islanders
The Florida Panthers are signing KHL free agent Evgeni Dadonov
On the Florida Panthers …

Harvey Fialkov: The Panthers have agreed on a deal with free agent Evgeni Dadonov according to a source.

Bob McKenzie: Hearing that Dadonov will be signing for three years at a cap hit of $4 million.

Harvey Fialkov: Source saying Panthers signed defenseman Alex Petrovic to a one-year, $1.8 million deal.

On free agent agreements…

Bob McKenzie: No paper is exchanged or deals official until noon tomorrow. Reports of a player going somewhere are not official …. just verbal deals and are not fully committed.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Elliotte Friedman: Hearing that the Vancouver Canucks are looking at Alexander Burmistrov.

Bob McKenzie: It’s okay to say that the Canucks will give Sam Gagner three years, Michael Del Zotto two year and they will sign goaltender Anders Nilsson as well.

Andy Strickland: the Canucks will sign Anders Nilsson tomorrow to a two-year deal.

Rick Dhaliwal: Hearing that contract talks continue with Anton Rodin.

On the Colorado Avalanche …

Pierre LeBrun: Wouldn’t be a surprise if goaltender Jonathan Bernier signed with the Avalanche.

Adrian Dater: “These GMs who think they can get a young top six forward from Sakic without touching their own core are delusional. Joe holding firm … David Poile and Jarmo in CBJ aren’t going to get a Duchene for scraps”

Darren Dreger: “Define “scraps” ? Plus, how does anyone, Sakic included, benefit from the inevitable distraction that will follow the team if no deal?”

On the New York Islanders and Colorado Avalanche …

Andy Graziano: Unless Avs GM Joe Sakic is okay with prospects and draft picks, have been told the Islanders are pretty much out of it. The Islanders made their best offer and it was declined.

On the New York Islanders …

Andy Graziano: Things are ‘tight lipped’ with regards to the NY Islanders and John Tavares. Don’t think forward Josh Baily is excluded from any talks.
