NHL Rumors: Rangers, Avalanche, Canadiens, and Predators
The Rangers haven't asked Rick Nash for his no-trade list yet

On the New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche, Nashville Predators, and Montreal Canadiens …

TSN: Darren Dreger on TSN.

“We’re going to start with Rick Nash and Michael Grabner of the New York Rangers who are two players that are expected to be highly sought-after. The New York Rangers are leaning towards being open for business from a trade front perspective because of their recent slide, but it’s going to take a lot to acquire Rick Nash and he’s yet to be asked for his 12-team trade list.

Another player to keep an eye on is Ryan McDonagh. There’s a lot of trade speculation around the Rangers’ defenceman and it’s more likely if he gets dealt, it’s in the summer on the draft floor, but again, Jeff Gorton is willing to listen.”

Pierre LeBurn: The Colorado Avalanche could now be buyers at the trade deadline.

“Avalanche brass is they’ve got some amazing team chemistry in that room, do we bring in a guy that can take a guy away from his minutes and that’s what they’re debating internally.”

The Avs know they could use a winger and they will decide about a week before the deadline if they will add.

Pierre LeBrun: The Canadiens won’t be adding anyone this year. Next week GM Marc Bergevin and the rest of staff will go over their trade deadline strategy. Tomas Plekanec is their only notable pending unrestricted free agent.

Pierre LeBrun: The Predators are looking to add a top-six winger.

“Now, whether or not they get in on Max Paciorietty or  Mike Hoffman or  Evander Kane, they haven’t made that decision yet. They want to get to the other side of the Tampa All-Star break.”
