NHL Rumors: Canadiens, Devils, Ducks and Sabres
The New Jersey Devils are interested in Montreal canadiens Alex Galchenyuk
On the Montreal Canadiens and Alexander Radulov

Eric Engels: “Been told the highest offer made to Radulov was 3 years. reported he asked for 6 years at $7M.”

L.A. Lariviere: “There’s no way will give him both that term (7 yrs) and cash (7M). My feeling : they end up giving him 3 or 4 yrs at 6M the first 2.”

Eric Engels: “Still believe, based on what I’ve been told, there’s compromise to be made and both parties would like to agree. Big gap to close, though.”

Eric Engels: “You have to think the open market could yield a 5-year contract for Radulov. Some doubt the Canadiens would go that long.”

On the Montreal Candiens and New Jersey Devils …

Darren Dreger: “As reported yesterday, the New Jersey Devils remain a contender for Alex Galchenyuk.”

Andrew Gross: “Spitballing but I would think Henrique might be part of that.”

On the New Jersey Devils …

Darren Dreger: “Meanwhile, still hours away from the Draft, but the Devils will likely hold onto the 1st pick overall unless something materializes.”

Andrew Gross: “As mentioned yesterday, IF Devils are focused on Makar, I would think they would trade down from No. 1 pick to do so…”

On the Anaheim Ducks and Sami Vatanen

Pierre LeBrun: “Is Vatanen still available? I would say it depends. No urgency for Ducks to move him anymore. However, Ducks would like to get scoring F”

Pierre LeBrun: “Vatanen only moves if teams step up in their offers over the coming weeks. Otherwise I think the Ducks would be happy to keep him…”

On the Buffalo Sabres …

Mike Harrington: “Botterill says Petersen going to free agency. “I don’t believe he’ll be signing with the Buffalo .”

Joe Yerdon: “Had to know this was coming when he said he was going pro and didn’t sign right away.”

Ryan Wagman: “And here we have the reason why the Sabres made a point of protecting Ullmark at the Expxansion Draft.”
