On the Chicago Blackhawks …

Chris Hine: GM Stan Bowman on the possibility of making more trades: “It’s a little different than previous years where I felt we needed something or we were lacking in an area.”

Scott Powers: GM Bowman said he hasn’t has any talks with Maxim Shalunov’s agent. They will focus on that after the trade deadline.

On the Boston Bruins …

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Marc-Andre Fleury is the longest serving Pittsburgh Penguin. Fleury hasn’t spoken with GM Jim Rutherford yet about what he thinks about possibly being traded, but will do so soon.

“I’m looking forward to what he has to say, what he thinks, which way the team wants to go,” Fleury said. “Go from there.”

Rutherford has said he would like to keep both Fleury and Matt Murray past the deadline.

E.J. Hradek: Based on Penguins GM Rutherford’s comments yesterday, sounding like there is a good chance Fleury could be traded by the deadline. Fleury would have to agree to the trade.
