Bob McKenzie: The Flames continue to work on getting a goalie. They’ve talked to the Lightning about Ben Bishop and the Blues about Brian Elliott. The Flames have permission to speak with Bishop about a contract extension.

John Shannon: Can add Jimmy Howard to the goalies the Flames are looking at. Hearing that Bishop is looking for a long-term extension with Calgary if traded – asking seven years at $7 million per season.

Adam Gretz: Rumors suggest there is one team that is looking for a goalie and at least five goalies available.

On the Anaheim Ducks …

Chris Nichols: Darren Dreger: ” It’s quiet at the moment w/ Bob Murray and #NHLDucks. “That’s not to say that Fowler isn’t going to get moved today.” … “Right now it looks like Anaheim and perhaps the suitors for Fowler are kind of waiting in the weeds.”

On the Minnesota Wild and Edmonton Oilers …

Michael Russo: Talk between the Wild and Oilers today. The Wild could be interested in Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, with the Oilers maybe interested in Jonas Brodin or Matt Dumba.
