Buffalo Sabres: Goaltender Robin Lehner will return to the lineup.

On the Chicago Blackhawks …

Tracey Myers: Coach Joel Quenneville is not as optimistic as he once was that goaltender Corey Crawford will return this season. It’s believed that Crawford hasn’t been on the ice for a week.

Mark Lazerus: Quenneville didn’t say that they were going to shut Crawford down of the season.

On the Columbus Blue Jackets …

Columbus Blue Jackets: The Blue Jackets put forward Nick Foligno on the IR and claimed defenseman Taylor Chorney off waivers from the Capitals.

Brian Hedger: Had been told that the injuries to Kukan and Nutivaara were the reason that they claimed Chorney.

Aaron Portzline: The Blue Jackets put Markus Nutivaara on the IR, which opens up a roster spot for Nathan Gerbe.

Dennis Bernstein: Forward Jeff Carter has received clearance to start practicing with the team. He’s expected to take the morning skate but won’t play tonight.
