On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Jimmy Murphy: A week ago a Penguins source said that it was “unlikely” that Marc-Andre Fleury would be traded by the deadline, but have how been told that has “definitely” changed.

Jimmy Murphy: NHL source said on Saturday that he heard in the past week that Fleury submitted a list of three teams that he’d accept a trade to.

On the Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins …

Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer: The Philadelphia Flyers have defensemen to move before the trade deadline – Michael Del Zotto, Mark Streit and Nick Schultz. The Pittsburgh Penguins have three injured defensemen.

The Flyers could be looking for forward prospects and/or draft picks.

The Penguins are without Kris Letang, Trevor Daley and Olli Maatta. Justin Schultz just returned from a concussion.

Reports are the Penguins had some interest in St. Louis Blues defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk. Mark Streit would be cheaper option for the Penguins.

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Jon Rosen of LA King Insider: Talk over the past six weeks has involved the Kings desire to find a winger that could play with Anze Kopitar that wouldn’t cost a lot to acquire. They don’t want to give big assets for a rental. Finding a top winger without giving up much isn’t easy to do.

“We can still be what we are in our own end and getting out of our own end and getting in the other teams’ zone, but it’s time to bear down,” Lombardi said. “Everybody , ‘Oh, why don’t you get offense?’ To be honest with you things can change, but I just don’t see the answer, and it has to come from within, and I think a lot of those players are certainly capable of it coming from within.”
