NHL Rumors: Kings, Jets, Coyotes, Sharks, Isles, Devils, Avs, Lightning, Stars and Leafs
The Dallas Stars have called the Tampa Bay Lightning about Ben Bishop
On the Los Angeles Kings …

Dennis Bernstein: The LA Kings shouldn’t give up a high draft pick for a player like Martin Hanzal. They need to change their trend of trading away high picks. May not be a championship roster with him on it.

On the Winnipeg Jets …

Sportsnet: Hockey Night in Canada’s Headlines last night, Nick Kypreos said the Jets could recall goaltender Ondrej Pavelec and look to move Michael Hutchinson. There has been talk that the San Jose Sharks could look for an upgrade as Martin Jones‘s backup, and that there might have been some interest in Hutchinson earlier this season.

On the Arizona Coyotes, San Jose Sharks, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, Colorado Avalanche, Tampa Bay Lightning, Dallas Stars and Toronto Maple Leafs …

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun: The Coyotes will once again be looking to get some draft picks for players at the deadline. They’ll be looking to sell Martin Hanzal and Michael Stone, and will possibly Shane Doan. Teams will inquire about Doan, who has a no-movement clause and hasn’t shown any desire to leave Arizona. The Sharks have called about Doan the past couple years.

New York Islanders GM Garth Snow‘s job is on the line.

The New Jersey Devils will be sellers, and they have the cap space to take on some bad contracts to help land some good prospects. The Columbus Blue Jackets, Philadelphia Flyers, New York Rangers and LA Kings have cap issues.

Many are wondering if GM Joe Sakic will be the one to lead the Colorado Avalanche through another rebuild.

Speculation around Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop continues. The Dallas Stars made a call on Bishop. The Lightning are asking for a lot in return for Bishop. Though Andrei Vasilevskiy is their goalie of the future, they may need Bishop to make the playoffs this year.

Would be hard for the Toronto Maple Leafs to move James van Riemsdyk as they are in the playoff race. GM Lou Lamoriello is listening to offers. JVR carries a $4.25 million cap hit for another season and has a modified no-trade clause.
