NHL Rumors: Avalanche, Kings, Canadiens and Bruins
The Montreal Canadiens could make Tomas Plekanec available
On the Colorado Avalanche …

Adrian Dater: The way Gabriel Landeskog played the other night, you have to think the Avs would be crazy to trade him. It could still happen, but I think he’ll end up remaining with the Avalanche somehow.

Adrian Dater: If the Avalanche are to trade Gabriel Landeskog, they must get a quality defenseman – NHL/prospect – or two in a trade or else you don’t make the deal.

On the Los Angeles Kings and Montreal Canadiens …

Answering twitter questions …

Dennis Bernstein: Think the Avalanche would ask the Los Angeles Kings for Jake Muzzin, Adrian Kempe and a first round pick for Matt Duchene. Would counter that with Alec Martinez, Kempe and a 2nd round pick. Don’t think Duchene would end up in LA.

Dennis Bernstein: If the Kings were to trade a defenseman, think they would move Alec Martinez over Jake Muzzin.

Dennis Bernstein: Don’t see the Canadiens trading for either Matt Duchene or Gabriel Landeskog. Think they’ll make a deal, but not at a big cost of their future assets.

On the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins …

Geoff Lowe of Sportsnet: Nick Kypreos last night on Headlines on the Montreal Canadiens.

“(The Canadiens) are going to start to get healthy with (Alex) Galchenyuk coming back,” Sportsnet’s Nick Kypreos said on Hockey Night in Canada’s Headlines segment Saturday. “But there’s a sense that if (Plekanec) doesn’t get re-engaged that he might be available by the trade deadline.”

Plekanec has another year left on his contract with a $6 million salary cap hit.

Elliotte Friedman said that the Boston Bruins have told teams that they are not trading defenseman Brandon Carlo.

On Kiril Kaprizov …

Aivis Kalnins: Source saying that Kiril Kaprizov has agreed to remain in KHL until the end of contract and then he will explore his NHL options. His KHL contract expires on April 1st, 2018.
