NHL Rumors: Flames, Islanders, KHL, Ducks and Lindholm
Dougie Hamilton and Hampus Lindholm
On the Calgary Flames …

Chris Nichols: Pierre LeBrun on TSN 1040: “You heard Dougie Hamilton’s name out there this year. I don’t think it was the #Flames shopping him.” … “But I know that at least one team, for sure, phoned about his availability and it didn’t go anywhere.”

Jimmy Murphy: As some people have already speculated, hearing that Flames defenseman Dougie Hamilton is being talked about by some NHL scouts, but it’s likely due to the Flames play so far this season.

On the New York Islanders …

Chris Botta: Have been told by some people that Barclays Center management will do everything they can to keep the NY Islanders.

On the KHL …

Aivis Kalnins: Source saying that Admiral Vladivostok of the KHL hasn’t paid their player salaries in the past 10 weeks.

On the Anaheim Ducks and Hampus Lindholm …

Travis Yost: On the Hampus Lindholm trade rumors over the weekend from one reporter, Ducks GM Bob Murray says “He’s full of shit.”

Jimmy Murphy: (directing comment towards Yost) – “Any sports reporter that actually believes everything a GM says publicly is 100 percent truth defines the word GULLIBLE!”

Jimmy Murphy: Received another text from team executive who said they have talked to the Ducks about Lindholm.

Jimmy Murphy: Another NHL team executive said that the Ducks have “definitely explored trade value of Lindholm & other D.”

Luke Fox of Sportsnet: Reports have the Ducks and Lindholm narrowing the gap to $250,000 a season on six-year deal.

The Ducks have gained just under $3.4 million in cap space by putting Simon Despres on the LTIR.

Reports have Ducks GM Murray wanting to get Lindholm signed at under Rasmus Ristolainen‘s $5.4 million a season.

December 1st is the deadline that Lindholm would need to be signed by if he’s going to play with the Ducks this season.

“There’s definitely motivation from both sides to try and get a deal done,” Lemieux said.
