Ben Harpur suffered an upper-body injury on Saturday, and they were already without Erik Karlsson and Johnny Oduya.

Chabot will likely play on Tuesday. Oduya’s status for Tuesday is not known yet.

On the Boston Bruins …

Matt Kalman: Forward Patrice Bergeron practiced with a no-contact jersey.

On the New Jersey Devils …

Chris Ryan: Both Kyle Palmieri and Drew Stafford will travel with the team and are game-time decisions for their game today against the Sabres.

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

Kirsten Shilton: Defenseman Connor Carrick missed practice yesterday.

Kirsten Shilton: Coach Mike Babcock said Carrick was given the day off as he “isn’t doing as good today.” Babcock didn’t appear to be that worried about the issue.

On the Edmonton Oilers …

Jim Matheson: Coach Todd McLellan said that Drake Caggiula is day-to-day. McLellan wasn’t sure when the injury happened or what it was.

On the St. Louis Blues …

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Forward Alex Steen could join the Blues at some point on their four-game road trip. Defenseman Jay Bouwmeester is also close to returning. It doesn’t mean they’ll play though.

“Neither guy is gonna come with us initially on the trip,” coach Mike Yeo said Sunday. “And I don’t anticipate that ‘Bo’ would be joining us. But there’s a possibility that Steener could be joining us on the trip to start skating. But that’s just depending on how he feels here in the next few days.

“So they’re both progressing but I wouldn’t expect either of them to be playing in any of these games on the road trip.”
