NHL News: NHL Signings – Lightning, Bruins, Kings, Flames, Hurricanes and Rangers
The Tampa Bay Lightning re-signed RFA forward Ondrej Palat
On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Roger Mooney of the Tampa Bay Times: The Lightning re-signed restricted free agent Ondrej Palat to a five-year contract with a salary cap hit of $5.3 million.

The Lightning locked up Tyler Johnson on Monday for seven years at $5 million a season.

“We talk to the players about what’s important them,” Yzerman said. “Some prefer longer term, and some perform shorter term. Tyler was looking to do a seven-year deal, a longer term, and Ondrej was comfortable at five. Every term comes with different (salary) cap numbers. It was finding something that makes sense for both players.”

Craig Morgan: Salary breakdown for Palat: 2017-18 – $5.6 million, 2018-19 – $6.855 million, 2019-20 – $5.3 million, 2020-21 – $3.445 million and 2021-22 – $5.3 million.

Renaud Lavoie: The Lightning signed Michael Bournival to a one-year, two-way deal for $650,000.

On the Boston Bruins …

Joe Haggerty of CSNNE: The Bruins re-signed both Zane McIntyre and Malcolm Subban to two-year, two-way deals. Both goalies signed for $650,000 a season.

One of Subban or McIntyre could backup Tuukka Rask in two years as Anton Khudobin appears to be set to backup this season.

“We feel very comfortable, as I’ve said before, if Anton Khudobin, who played in Long Island and Chicago came back through . I don’t think anyone’s questioning whether or not we have ample goaltending,” said Bruins general manager Don Sweeney. “The two players underneath in Zane and Malcolm need to take another step and push in that area. I would like Anton to walk through the door the same guy that played in those two games in particular.”

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider: The LA Kings re-signed six restricted free agents – Kevin Gravel, Zac Leslie, Kurtis MacDermid, Justin Auger, Michael Mersch and Andrew Crescenzi – to one-year, two-way contracts worth $650,000.

On the New York Rangers …

New York Rangers: The Rangers signed 2017 first round pick Filip Chytil to a three-year entry-level deal.
