Sabres PR: The Sabres have recalled forward Justin Bailey from the AHL.

Amy Moritz of the Buffalo News: Forward Jack Eichel was doing extra skating yesterday, working on his conditioning and skills. He won’t be in the lineup tonight but is getting closer. He’s been able to get through two full practices.

Coach Phil Housley on if could return on Saturday or Monday.

“Could be a possibility but I don’t want to put a timeline on it,” Housley said. “I just feel that his progression is all that matters to us. He’s got to feel comfortable. We’ll continue to evaluate it every day.”

Brian Hedger: Defenseman Seth Jones is expected to play tonight against the Flyers.

Aaron Portzline: Have been told that forward Josh Anderson (knee sprain) hasn’t started skating yet. He’s been out since late February but is hopeful to play again this season.

Aaron Portzline: Defenseman Dean Kukan signed a two-year, one-way contract extension worth $1.45 million – $700,000 next year and $750,000 the following year.

New York Rangers: Defenseman Anthony DeAngelo will be out for three to four weeks with a sprained ankle.

Lance Hornby: Goaltender Frederik Andersen left last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

Pierre LeBrun: Coach Mike Babcock didn’t have an update on Andersen after the game other than it’s upper-body. He said it may not be that serious since Andersen was able to play after the collision with Alex Radulov, but doesn’t know for sure.

Kristen Shilton: Hearing the Leafs will recall goaltender Garret Sparks to backup Curtis McElhinney tonight.
