Brian Hedger: Forward Cam Atkinson said that it’s possible that he could return before the estimated four-to-six weeks, though he would need to get medical clearance. He had two screws inserted into his foot.

Blue Jackets PR: The Blue Jackets acquire goaltender Jeff Zatkoff from the LA Kings for future considerations. Zatkoff has been assigned to the AHL.

Chris Ryan: Forward Taylor Hall missed last night’s game and will be out tonight with a hand issue. Coach John Hynes said that it’s a short-term issue.

Shawn Roarke: Defenseman Mirco Mueller has been recalled from his two-game conditioning stint. He didn’t play last night, and they are still evaluating him.

Arthur Staple:  Coach Doug Weight said that Casey Cizikas could return on Thursday, but it’s more likely that he’ll return after the All-Star break. Defenseman Johnny Boychuk will be a bit longer as he needs to work on his conditioning.
