Leon Draisaitl signs eight-year deal with the Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers have signed restricted free agent forward Leon Draisaitl to an eight-year, $68 million contract – an $8.5 million salary cap hit.

Draisailt was drafted third overall by the Oilers in the 2015 draft.

He finished second in Oilers scoring with 77 points – 29 goals and 48 assists – this past season, and led the team in playoff scoring with 16 points in 13 games.
