Sean Shapiro: Defenseman Marc Methot said the earliest that he’d be able to return to the lineup is New Year’s Eve.

Sens Communication: Forward Bobby Ryan (finger) won’t be lineup today but is hopeful for their game on December 27th. Zack Smith suffered a shoulder injury on Thursday and could be out for a couple weeks. Craig Anderson has been sick.

Amanda Stein of NHL.com: Forward Jesper Bratt missed Thursday’s game with a foot injury, but was back on the ice yesterday at practice. He’s listed as day-to-day.

“I felt pretty good out there,” Bratt said after practice. “We’ll see how I’m feeling tomorrow. I felt pretty OK this practice today. No special pain.”

Justin Tasch: Forward Jesper Fast will be out for two to three weeks with a quad strain that he suffered on Thursday.

Kristen Shilton: Auston Matthews said that after he had the collision with Morgan Rielly he felt “normal concussion symptoms.” He is hopeful that he’ll be able to return today. He’ll be a game-time decision.
