Aaron Portzline of The Athletic: The Blue Jackets have signed winger Cam Atkinson to a seven-year, $41.125 million contract extension – a $5.875 million salary cap hit.

The first two years of the deal carry a no-trade and no-movement. Atkinson has a limited no-trade final five years of the contract. He submits a list of 10-teams he’d okay a trade too.

The sides also added a no-trade and no-movement clause to the final year of his current contract, so the Blue Jackets can’t trade him before July 1st when his new deal starts.

Adam Vingan: Goaltender Juuse Saros has been assigned to the AHL, and Anders Lindback has been recalled.

On the New Jersey Devils …
