Dan Myers of Wild.com: Forward Zach Parise will return to the lineup tonight after having microdiscectomy surgery over two months ago.

“I’m really excited. I’ve been looking forward to this for awhile. I’m glad it’s finally here,” Parise said Monday after practice. “It’s been a lot of work, but I’m glad to get a chance to play tomorrow.”

Parise has been practicing on a line with Charlie Coyle and Chris Stewart.

On the New York Islanders …

New York Islanders: The Islanders have sent forwards Anthony Beauvillier and Steve Bernier to the AHL.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Jason Mackey: The Penguins returned Casey DeSmith, Andrey Pedan and Scott Wilson to the AHL and recalled Dominik Simon. Kris Letang and/or Justin Schultz could return today.
