On the Ottawa Senators …

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen: Chris Wideman tore his hamstring on Thursday and will be out “months” according to head coach Guy Boucher.

Doctors are still deciding what will be the best course of action for Wideman. Surgery hasn’t been ruled out yet. There is a chance that Wideman is done for the season.

“He’s out for months. It’s not good at all. We have to wait to find out how many. It’s a definite tear and it’s not a good one,” Boucher said before the Senators faced off against the Arizona Coyotes at Canadian Tire Centre. “We have to wait for more information from doctors to specify how long and what the procedure is going to be. He got really unlucky on that one.”
