The Ottawa Senators and Jean-Gabriel Pageau agree on a three-year deal
On the Ottawa Senators …

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Citizen: The Ottawa Senators and forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau agreed to a three-year, $9.3 million contract today. The deal carries a $3.1 million salary cap hit.

The Senators and Pageau were schedule to go to salary arbitration.

Forward Ryan Dzingel has his arbitration date set for Friday.

Chris Hine of the Chicago Tribune: 38-year old Brian Campbell retired from the NHL today after 17 season in the NHL.

“I’m excited to transition into the next step in both my professional career and life,” said Campbell in a statement.

“I’m grateful to the countless number of teammates, coaches, team staff and fans that I have crossed paths with throughout my playing career in Chicago, Buffalo, Florida and San Jose. The Blackhawks organization has allowed me to take on this challenge and I’m thankful for this new opportunity.”
