Andrew Gross of North Jersey: Winger Taylor Hall skated before practice yesterday and is ahead of schedule according to coach John Hynes.

“He’s making some very good progress,” Hynes said. “He’s a little bit ahead of schedule so everything went well with the surgery. The recovery’s been good. He’s incredibly fit. He’s a young guy that really takes care of himself so he looks like he’s on the way back.”

Hall was to miss three to four weeks after having arthroscopic surgery on November 16th.

Kyle Palmieri returned to the lineup yesterday after missing two games with an upper-body injury.

Renaud Lavoie: Forward Charles Hudon suffered an upper-body injury yesterday in practice and won’t travel with the team.

Renaud Lavoie: Hudon was hit by the puck close to his throat. He’ll be getting some tests done, and if he gets the okay, he could later fly to Detroit.
