Sabres PR: Defenseman Nathan Beaulieu is day-to-day with an illness. Defenseman Taylor Fedun is six weeks with a foot injury. Forward Jacob Josefson is four to six weeks with an ankle injury.

On the Detroit Red Wings …

Ansar Khan: The Red Wings recalled forward Tyler Bertuzzi.

Ansar Khan: Bertuzzi will be a game-time decision today. Will depend on if everyone else is healthy enough to play – everyone practiced yesterday.

On the Florida Panthers …

Craig Davis: Coach Bob Boughner said that forward Aleksander Barkov will be out tonight but could be ready to return on Monday.

On the Montreal Canadiens …

Matt Cudzinowski: Forward Jonathan Drouin practiced on a line with Alex Galchenyuk and Andrew Shaw yesterday. He’s expected to be back in the lineup tonight.

“I feel good. It was tough on the body for a few days,” said Drouin, who dropped a few pounds as a result of his illness. “The virus was tougher than the injury. It would have been tough to play . I didn’t really have energy and I had trouble moving. I went on the ice for a bit , but it wasn’t a big skate.”

On the New Jersey Devils …

Chris Ryan Of NJ.com: Forward Kyle Palmieri started skating a couple days ago. He broke his right foot blocking a shot on Nov. 20th and was expected to be out for four to six weeks. It’s looking like he could return on the lower-end of that projection.

On the New York Rangers …

Justin Tasch: Forward Mika Zibanejad (concussion) will be out this weekend. Today will be his fifth consecutive game he’s missed.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Wes Crosby: Coach Mike Sullivan said that Tom Kuhnhackl has an upper-body injury.
