Philip Larsen is doing okay back in Vancouver, could rejoin the team soon
On the Vancouver Canucks …

John Shannon: Philip Larsen spent Tuesday night in hospital and was flying back to Vancouver yesterday to visit team doctors.

NHL.com: Larsen returned to the Vancouver. Coach Willie Desjardins spoke with Larsen, who said he had full movement of his extremities. Desjardins also hasn’t ruled Larsen rejoining the team during their road trip. They play the Lightning on Thursday and the Panthers on Saturday.

On the Dallas Stars …

Mark Stepneski: Defenseman Julius Honka will likely miss a couple games. It is an “upper-body” injury, but looks like it could be a wrist injury.

Sean Shapiro: Julius Honka and Patrick Sharp (concussion) didn’t practice yesterday. Jiri Hudler (illness) and Johnny Oduya (lower-body) practiced.

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Bryan Burns: Defenseman Jason Garrison practiced yesterday. He’s been out for two games with a a lower-body injury.

Joe Smith: Forwards Jonathan Drouin and Ryan Callahan were both on the ice at practice yesterday.

Joe Smith: If ready, Callahan can come off the IR. He’s missed the past four games with a lower-body injury.

Joe Smith: Callahan said his surgically repaired hip had been nagging him.

Ansar Khan: The Red Wings activated Jimmy Howard from the IR and returned Jared Coreau and Tomas Nosek to the AHL.
