Eastern Conference Injuries: Flyers, Lightning, Devils, Hurricanes and Red Wings
Justin Faulk
On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Dave Isaac: Defenseman Mark Streit was put on the LTIR, which allows the Flyers to be able to activate Michal Neuvirth from the IR.

Dave Isaac: Streit to the LTIR is a stopgap move as he’s close to returning. He should be cleared for contact very soon.

CapFriendly: The Flyers will get $5.25 million in cap relief while Streit is on the LTIR.

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Erik Erlendsson: Goaltender Ben Bishop is two weeks into his recovery. He’s one to two weeks away from his scheduled return, but he hasn’t been on the ice yet.

Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times: Forward Ryan Callahan returned to the lineup last night after missing the past 15 games with soreness in the hip he had surgery on. Callahan feels he’s good enough to play his physical game.

“It’s the only way I’m going to come back if I’m able to do that,” Callahan said. “Everything feels good. Nothing is limiting me. I should be able to play I want to.”

Brian Boyle is still out with a lower-body injury and is doubtful for Thursday’s game. Boyle didn’t skate yesterday.

Forward Cedric Paquette, out with a lower-body injury, skated yesterday for the first time in a week. He hopes to be able to go on Thursday.

On the New Jersey Devils …

Chris Ryan of NJ.com: Defenseman Andy Greene took a puck close to his eye last night and will be further evaluated. The Devils are saying his eye is not the issue.

Andrew Gross: Defenseman John Moore has a concussion and will be taking it easy for the next few days.

On the Carolina Hurricanes …

Carolina Hurricanes: Coach Bill Peters is hopeful that defenseman Justin Faulk could return at some point during their road trip. They are hoping that Elias Lindholm will start skating today.

Michael Smith: Goaltender Eddie Lack has a concussion. He suffered it during their game against the Penguins.

On the Detroit Red Wings …

Helene St. James: Mike Green didn’t practice yesterday, but Darren Helm and Justin Abdelkader did.
