  • Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette: Brendan Gallagher will be out two to three weeks with a lower-body injury. Lars Eller missed last night’s game with a lower-body injury. On Monday Michel Therrien said Eller had an upper-body injury. Other injured Canadies include Carey Price (knee), David Desharnais (broken foot), Nathan Beaulieu (lower body), Tom Gilbert (knee), Jeff Petry (sports hernia),  Daniel Carr (lower body) and Brian Flynn (lower body)

On the St. Louis Blues …

  • Lou Korac: Forward Alex Steen: “I’m getting reevaluated in 2 weeks. Up until then it’s just work every day, trying to keep my gas tank full and take it day by day.”

On the Chicago Blackhawks …

  • Brian Hedger: Winger Marian Hossa (lower-body) returned to practice yesterday for the first time since suffering his injury on February 13th.

On the Edmonton Oilers …

  • Jack Michaels: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins won’t play tomorrow, but will be day-to-day after that according to coach Todd McLellan.

  • Paul Hendrick: Defenseman Matt Hunwick will be recovering for 10 weeks after he has sports hernia surgery. He’ll be back on skates in July. He suffered the injury against the Canucks.
  • Terry Koshan: P.A. Parenteau hopes to return tonight against the Islanders.

  • Mike Chambers: Defenseman Chris Bigras is out with a concussion.

On the New Jersey Devils …

  • Tom Gulitti: Coach John Hynes said that the plan is for David Warsofsky to practice today and get back into the lineup at some point on their road trip.

  • Todd Jones: Defenseman Jack Johnson skated by himself yesterday. He is hoping to get back in the lineup at some point this season, but it’s uncertain if that will happen.
