On the Boston Bruins …

Joe Haggerty of CSNNE: Defenseman Adam McQuaid remained in St. Louis Tuesday night for precautionary reasons for his upper-body injury,. It appeared to be a shoulder injury.

“He’ll continue to be evaluated by our doctors, but he’s obviously doing much better since he’s on his way ,” said Claude Julien following Boston’s Wednesday afternoon practice in Music City. “He’ll be looked at again on and we’ll evaluate him and see how he is. It will be a day-to-day situation, I think.”

Defenseman Colin Miller suffered a lower-body injury on Tuesday, is traveling with the team. He’s doubtful for tonight.

On the New York Rangers …

Larry Brooks of the NY Post: Defenseman Marc Staal has missed the past two games with post-concussion symptoms. He has doubtful for this weekend. Staal missed 36 games in 2011-12 with a concussion from a hit from his brother Eric. The hit took place the previous year, but he played through the symptoms.

On the Anaheim Ducks …

Eric Stpehens: Center Ryan Getzlaf (lower-body) took part in his first practice yesterday since he was injured against the Flyers.

On the Nashville Predators …

Thomas Willis: Injured Predators were not on the ice yesterday include James Neal, Colin Wilson, P.K. Subban, Miikka Salomaki and Viktor Arvidsson.

On the Dallas Stars …

Mike Heika: Defenseman Jamie Oleksiak could be out for a bit with a hand injury.

Mike Heika: The Stars can deal with Oleksiak’s injury as they have eight defenseman, and when Jamie Benn is ready to be activated from the IR, they can put Oleksiak on it.
