NHL Injuries: Jets, Canucks, Flyers, Ducks and Sabres
David Perron

On the Winnipeg Jets …

  • Sara Orlesky: Mathieu Perreault is out indefinitely with a concussion.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

  • Jeff Paterson: Dan Hamhuis wanted to take his jaw protector off his helmet last week, but doctors said no. He’ll wear the protector for the remainder of the season.
  • Ben Kuzma: Derek Dorsett (upper-body) will go on the Canucks three-game road trip.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

  • Tim Panaccio: Michal Neuvirth had a MRI yesterday and it was discovered that he has a meniscus tear in his left knee. He could be able to return for the playoffs.

On the Anaheim Ducks …

  • Eric Stephens of the OC Register: David Perron suffered a shoulder injury and will be out week-to-week. Perron was trying to make a hit, but lost his balance and crashed into the boards. He’ll be traveling back to Southern California to have a MRI.

“I don’t know how bad it is but I assume it’s week-to-week,” Boudreau said after practice at Bell Sports Complex. “We’re on the road for eight more days. I’ve got to believe it’s week-to-week at this point.

“He’s out for the trip. If he’s going to go home, he’s not going to come back. It’d be lovely if he could and meet us in Edmonton or something but I’m not counting on it.”

Nate Thompson (lower-body) didn’t skate yesterday. He likely won’t play this week, but they are hoping he’ll be ready for Saturday.

On the Buffalo Sabres …

  • John Vogl of the Buffalo News: Tyler Ennis suffered a concussion on December 30th. He skated again on his own yesterday and they are hopeful that he could get back before the end of the season.

“Tyler’s doing quite well, is improving,” coach Dan Bylsma said. “Worked out and skated this morning, so he’s doing better and better and the hopes of maybe moving in a positive direction in the next seven days.”

Jack Eichel will travel with the team on their road trip. He didn’t play on Saturday and missed yesterday’s practice with the flu or food poisoning.

Also missing practice yesterday were Cody Franson (concussion), Robin Lehner (ankle) and Jason Kasdorf (groin). Lehner won’t be going on their road trip.

“Resting, recovering, rehabbing, working out off the ice in his spot right now,” Byslma said. “We just want to take it slow. You’re dealing with the continuing of the ankle sprain. He could tape it up and try to skate today and see how the tweak goes or see where it’s at, but really kind of taking a full rest and recovery for it.”
