Vancouver Canucks: Markus Granlund left last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

Terry Frei of the Denver Post: Defenseman Chris Bigras has missed the past three games with a concussion. He practiced yesterday and could play on Wednesday.

“Today, it seems like it went well,” Avalanche coach Patrick Roy said of Bigras. “He’s going to have to pass one more test and if it’s good, he’ll play the next game.”

Said Bigras: “I’m feeling better. There’s still a couple of steps left in the whole process … I just have to pass the tests and stuff. I’m not getting any symptoms right now. We’ll see how that goes and go from there.”

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Sarah McLellan: Shane Doan and Martin Hanzal were given maintenance days yesterday.

On the Dallas Stars …

Mark Stepneski of Stars.NHL: Patrick Sharp has missed the past five games with a lower-body injury. He returned to practice yesterday.

“I am just trying to get back as soon as possible. I can’t tell you when that is. We’ve got a great training staff here and with the coaches, we are all talking about it, and we’ll make the right decision.”

Defenseman John Klingberg, who is out with a lower-body injury, didn’t practice yesterday, but he did skate before practice. Jordie Benn, who has missed the past five games with a lower-body injury, also isn’t ready.

“I would anticipate Klingberg being in practice on Wednesday and Jordie Benn being a couple days behind that,” Ruff said.

Mattias Janmark didn’t practice yesterday. He missed Saturday’s game with an upper-body injury.
