NHL Injuries: Devils, Ducks, Flyers, Pens, Hawks and Sens
Cory Schneider

On the New Jersey Devils …

  • Tom Gulitti of the Record: Cory Schneider will be sent to Albany of the AHL today on a conditioning stint. He was put on the IR retroactive to March 4th. The Devils aren’t practicing today, so he’ll practice with Albany today and then will be recalled in time for the Devils morning skate tomorrow.

On the Anaheim Ducks …

  • Eric Stephens of the OC Register: Kevin Bieksa missed his second consecutive game with an upper-body injury. There won’t be any updates on Simon Despres (upper-body) or David Perron (shoulder) until they return home. Despres returned home last week after possibly having some concussion symptoms. Perron is week-to-week and they are not sure if he’ll be back for the start of the playoffs.

“Again, every report that I get is he’s improving,” he said. “I don’t whether that means it’s a high rate and improving a lot or just improving every day. All of those things will come more into play when I talk to Dr. Orr.”

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

  • Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Daily News: Claude Giroux left Saturday’s game in the third period to go through concussion protocol. Giroux said that he felt “pretty good” and wasn’t suffering any effects from the hit.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

On the Chicago Blackhawks …

On the Ottawa Senators …

  • Ken Warren of the Ottawa Sun: The Senators are expected to announce today that Clarke MacArthur won’t return from his concussion this season. They will use the extra time off for his recovery and eventual return next training camp.
