Ben Kuzma: Defenseman Chris Tanev could be in the lineup tonight. He skated yesterday to test his upper back, rib-cage area.

Ben Kuzma: Defenseman Ben Hutton is “out for some time” according coach Willie Desjardins after blocking a shot on Friday with his left hand. He will likely go on the IR.

On the San Jose Sharks …

Curtis Pashelka: Defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic will be with the team in Edmonton, but David Schlemko won’t be. Vlasic is a game-time decision tonight.

Kevin Kurz: Stand by report saying that Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said that they are “optimistic” of an early February return for Tomas Hertl.

On the St. Louis Blues …

Lou Korac: Defenseman Carl Gunnarsson will skate this morning before the team does. They will know after that if he’ll be available during their road trip.
