John Shannon: Defenseman Adam Larsson missed last night’s game. The Oilers activated Darnell Nurse and he be in the lineup on Sunday.

Tom Gulitti: Larsson hopes he’s able to go on Sunday against the Predators.

Edmonton Oilers: Andrej Sekera was able to play last night. He blocked a shot with his hand against the Panthers and had numbness.

On the Colorado Avalanche …

Ryan Boulding of ColoradoAvalanche.com: Defenseman Erik Johnson is ready to return from his broken leg. Forward Rene Bourque is also ready to return from his (head/neck) injury.

“I expect them both to play ,” head coach Jared Bednar said after Friday’s practice at Family Sports Center. “It will be good to get some fresh bodies in the lineup, guys that are both hungry to get back in our lineup. So we’re looking forward to it.”

Johnson had been targeting a Saturday all week. He said there are no issues with his leg.

“A lot of it was contact and just banging it around against the boards and the glass and everything like that,” said Johnson. “Took a couple shots off the leg, but it feels fine. I’m just excited to play again. It’s been three months I think to the day tomorrow, so it’s been a long time coming and I’m really excited, especially to come back at home in front of our fans and try and get a win for them at home.”
