Eastern Conference Injuries: Lightning, Maple Leafs, Penguins, Rangers, Devils and Sabres
Toronto Maple Leafs Brian Boyle left last night's game with an upper-body injury
On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Joe Smtih: Forward Tyler Johnson was on the ice yesterday but it still looks like he’s favoring his leg. He returned to the lineup on Sunday.

Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times: Many thought Steven Stamkos would return on the weekend after coach Jon Cooper said he was day-to-day.

“You get some words come out differently,” Stamkos said. “Day to day? I could be day to day for three months, really. That’s what got the ball rolling a little bit. When I’m ready, and I feel I can help my team, I’ll be back.”

Stamkos won’t shut it down while they still have a chance at the playoffs.

“The only time it wouldn’t be worth it is if we’re out of the mix,” Stamkos said. “As long as we’re still in the mix, I’d consider it worth it. We’re in the mix, a big one tonight. We’ll see.”
