Cap Friendly: The Flyers signed Shayne Gostisbehere to a six-year, $4.5 million contract extension.

NHL Numbers: Gostisbehere’s $4.5 million cap hit ranks him 49th among defensemen – tied with Jason Demers, Anton Stralman and Nikita Zaitsev.

Stephen Whyno: Contract breakdown: $6M in 2017-18 and ’18-19, $5.25M in 2019-20 and $3.25M each season through 2022-23.

NHL.com: The Philadelphia Flyers signed RFA defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere to a multi-year deal today.

On the Columbus Blue Jackets …

Columbus Dispatch: The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed goaltender Joonas Korpisalo to a two-year contract extension with a salary cap hit of $900,000. He’ll have a salary of $700,000 next year and a $1.1 million salary in 2018-19.

Korpisalo will be exposed for the expansion draft, so they may lose him to the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Blue Jackets also signed forward Zac Dalpe to a two-year, two-way contract, as well as defenseman Dean Kukan to one-year, two-way deal.

On the New York Islanders …
