5:20 PM: James Duthie via twitter: Turco didn’t speak directly with the Leafs, they just asked his agent some questions.
4:28 PM: Mike Brophy via twitter: Brophy is reporting that the Maple Leafs have made contact with free agent goalie Marty Turco. Turco has been working out with the Soo Greyhounds.
If this true and they bring in Turco, it could mean 2 things. Firstly, James Reimer is out long term and they are not happy with Jonas Gustavsson being the backup to Ben Scrivens. Or it could mean that they are not happy with Jonas Gustavsson backing up James Reimer. Scrivens could use some seasoning as the starter with the Marlies.
