The Toronto Maple Leafs waive Jhonas Enroth
On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

Kristen Shilton of TSN: The Toronto Maple Leafs put backup goaltender Jhonas Enroth on waivers. Enroth posted a 3.94 GAA, a .872 save percentage and carries a $750,000 salary cap hit.

It’s not known who will back up Frederik Andersen on Wednesday. Antoine Bibeau could be one option, with Karri Ramo another. Ramo has been rehabbing in Toronto, but hasn’t been medically cleared to return yet. The 30-year old Ramo was 17-18-1 with a 2.63 GAA and .909 save percentage with the Flames last year.

Mark Masters: Coach Mike Babcock on Enroth: “Lou met with him today. Obviously, wasn’t going good enough. We’re just in a situation where we’re making a change.”

James Mirtle: Ramo’s agent said that they don’t have a deal done with the Maple Leafs and that “nothing imminent.”

James Mirtle: Enroth only made four starts for the Maple Leafs. Expect that Ramo will be the Leafs next backup. He’s basically ready to return.

Chris Johnston: Ramo is getting close to being medically cleared to return/
