On the Edmonton Oilers and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins …

Chris Nichols of Today SlapShot: Edmonton Oilers center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins on 630 CHED on being on TSN’s most likely to be traded list and if the rumors creep into a players mind.

“I mean, when you see stuff like that – you know me, Bob, I don’t follow that kind of stuff too closely – you try to stay out of it as much as possible. You go on social media and stuff, so you do see things a little bit. But for the most part, I was good about keeping my mind off it. But it’s in the back of your mind, no matter what you do.

“I felt pretty comfortable in my position. There’s just a lot of talk and really, it’s just guys kind of putting their own opinions out there. It kind of gets carried away, I think, a little bit. But yeah, it’s still in the back of your mind a little bit.”
