  • Nicholas Cotsonika of Yahoo! Sports: Calgary Flames GM Jay Feaster said he won’t deal Jarome Iginla. Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk probably won’t move Brad Richards. The Devils could move out Jason Arnott. The Feb. 28th trade deadline may not be as busy as fans hope as there are more buyers than sellers, teams are close to their budget or cap numbers, and teams are more reluctant to part with their prospects and draft picks.
  • Steve Marcus of Newsday: Kyle Okposo (torn labrum in Sept,) has begun practicing with the NY Islanders, and vows he’ll be able to return this year, “I don’t believe there is any chance that I won’t play this year.”‘
  • Vicky Hall of the Calgary Herald: Craig Conroy has found himself a healthy scratch numerous times this season, and realizes his NHL days are likely coming to an end. “I guess this year will probably be it,” Conroy said  “This is it.”
