Injury Notes: Fraser, Visnovsky, Semin, Korpikoski, Khudobin, DeKeyser, Kessel, Seidenberg and Burns
  • James Mirtle: Maple Leafs Mark Fraser is day-to-day with a knee injury. It is another MCL issues, but in a different area of the ligament.
  • Arthur Staple: Islanders Lubomir Visnovsky is “still not close” to returning to the lineup.
  • Sarah McLellan: Coyotes Lauri Korpikoski has an upper-body injury. Zbynek Michalek is still out with an upper-body injury. Both could skate tomorrow.
  • Chip Alexander: Hurricanes Anton Khudobin is about a week away from being able to play.
  • Ted Kulfan: Red Wings Danny DeKeyser left last night’s game with an left shoulder injury. Helene St. James: He’ll see a doctor today but they are estimating it will will be at least a week or two.
  • Chris Johnston: Maple Leafs Phil Kessel on his wrist being taped: “I don’t really want to talk about it.”
  • Fluto Shinzawa: Bruins Dennis Seidenberg and his lower-body injury have skated that past two days. To be determined if he plays on Thursday.
  • Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area: Sharks Brent Burns could return to the lineup on Thursday. It will be up to Burns and their medical to clear him to return.

    Wilson said: “Could he play Thursday? I think he could. I think there’s a chance. … I think he’s really close, and it could be as soon as this week. But, that will be decided by him and the medical staff.”

  • Chuck Gormley of CSN Washington: Capitals Mike Green skate pain-free yesterday, but may not be ready just yet.

    “He’s missed a lot of time and it’s a big game,” Oates said after an 80-minute practice at Kettler.

    “I don’t want to put him in a situation where he’s behind the 8-ball. He hasn’t been able to do a lot of cardio, so I’m a little worried about his conditioning.”
