Injuries: Zetterberg, Krejci, Kinkaid, TVR, Weber, Kane and Gorges
  • Shawn Mitchell: Man games lost heading into last night’s game – Blue Jackets 359, Canadiens 56.
  • Ted Kulfan: Red Wings Henrik Zetterberg left last night’s game with an upper-body injury. Bill Roose: Will learn more about the injury later today when the Wings practice at the Honda Center. Ansar Khan: Zetterberg was punched in the head by Jamie Benn early on in the second period.
  • Joe Haggerty: Not a surprise that David Krejci didn’t practice yesterday. Steve Conroy: Bruins coach Claude Julien confirmed that Krejci won’t play today. He will be re-evaluated when they get back to Boston.
  • Tom Gulitti: Devils Keith Kinkaid had to leave early after suffering a lower leg injury. He said afterwards he was fine. Expected back on Monday.
  • Scott Powers: Blackhawks Trevor van Riemsdyk had his first full practice yesterday. Hasn’t been cleared for contact yet.
  • John Vogl: Sounding like Sabres Mike Weber’s upper-body injury may be long-term.
  • Mike Harrington: Sabres Evander Kane said there is a hole in his shoulder, but that it is good so far. He’ll be rehabbing at his home in Vancouver.
  • John Vogl of the Buffalo News: Sabres Josh Gorges could be done for the season. He hasn’t played since suffering a lower-body injury on February 10th.

“It’s leaning that way, but we’ll see in the next little bit here,” Buffalo coach Ted Nolan said Friday. “He’s getting final information. He’ll make a final decision in probably 24 to 48 hours.”
