Injuries: Wild, Red Wings, Blues, Oilers, Ducks, Sabres and Flyers

On the Wild …

  • Michael Russo of the Star Tribune: Zach Parise suffered an apparent right injury last night. The Wild are calling it a lower-body injury. Coach Mike Yeo said they’ll have an update today. He’ll be getting an MRI done. Parise was able to play five more shifts after the hit, but then left the game. Yeo only ruled him out for Saturday’s game.
  • The Wild will be without Zac Dalpe for five months after hip surgery for a torn labrum. Tyler Graovac is out for six weeks, and Justin Fontaine will be out for four to six weeks.

On the Red Wings …

  • George Sipple of the Detroit Free Press: Defenseman Kyle Quincey will see doctors next week to determine if he’ll require surgery on his right ankle. If he needs surgery, he could miss six weeks.

“There’s issues going on in there that need to be addressed,” Quincey said after the team practiced today at the Taylor Sportsplex.

Defenseman Mike Green will return either tonight or on Sunday.

“That’s undetermined,” Wings coach Jeff Blashill said when asked whether Green will play Friday. “Green’s close. Whether he’ll play tomorrow or not, we’ll decide tomorrow.”
