On the Wild …

  • Michael Russo: Wild goalie Devan Dubnyk has a right knee injury. Dubnyk said it’s sore, but has been told that it can’t get worse by playing. There are no structural issues. He is confident that it won’t be an issue. Dubnyk: “I fully believe that it’s going to be fine going forward. I’m sure I’ll be fine for Tues. It was a tough 18 minutes there in the 2nd”

On the Penguins …

  • Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Penguins Beau Bennett returned to practice yesterday after missing five games with an undisclosed injury that he suffered in a goal celebration.

    “I hurt myself celebrating a goal, unfortunately,” the Penguins winger said. “That’s just unlucky. But I’ve learned to keep my arms down and celebrate less, I guess.”

    Eric Fehr is expected to return on Saturday after offseason elbow surgery.

  • Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Penguins Bryan Rust missed yesterday’s practice with an undisclosed injury. He was hit in the right hand or arm on Saturday by a Seth Jones slapshot. Rust could be out long-term.

    “Rust is going to be out,” he said. “We haven’t determined a time frame on it but he’s going to be out. It’s not going to be day to day. I should have a probably better time frame on it in the next day or two.”

On the Blue Jackets …

  • Shawn Mitchell and Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch: Ryan Johansen left the team on Saturday due to an undisclosed illness. He was hospitalized at least once this offseason with an accelerated heart rate according to a source. This latest illness is not heart related. After he was hospitalize this summer in B.C., the Blue Jackets flew him to Columbus to get checked out.

    “They found no issues with his heart,” Kekalainen said.

On the Panthers …

  • NHL.com: Panthers forward Aleksander Barkov will be out indefinitely with a broken hand. He was hit with the puck on Thursday.

On the Flyers …

  • Bill Meltzer: The Flyers put Michal Neuvirth on the IR on Saturday. He’ll need to be on the IR for at least Tuesday’s game.
  • Dave Isaac: Neuvirth was on the ice yesterday morning.

On the Flames …

  • Wes Gilbertson: Flames Micheal Ferland is week-to-week with a sprained knee.
  • Wes Gilbertson: Flames T.J. Brodie (hand) is skating, but is not shooting that much. Don’t expect him to be back for at least a few more games.
