  • Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun: Senators Clarke MacArthur is believed to be out with a concussion, and it doesn’t look like he’ll be returning soon. Marc Methot is out with the flu. Senators coach Dave Cameron on MacArthur.

  • Adam Vingan of the Tennessean: Predators defenseman Ryan Ellis is day-to-day with a lower-body injury after blocking a shot with his right knee. The team is off today and he’ll be evaluated when they return to Nashville. The Predators are already carrying two extra defensemen – Victor Bartley and Anthony Bitetto.
  • Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times: The remain optimistic that defenseman Victor Hedman won’t be out long.

    “He’s day to day, and that’s probably the best way I can put it,” Cooper said. “He’s out (against the Sabres), but after that … and I don’t want to speculate how … but he’s feeling better.”

  • St. Louis Blues: Blues Paul Stastny will not play any more games on their six-game road trip due to his lower-body injury.
  • Tom Gulitti of The Record: Devils coach John Hynes said it’s possible that center Travis Zajac players today. Winger Tuomo Ruutu missed practice yesterday with a undisclosed injury, but hasn’t been ruled out for today. Hynes on Ruutu.

    “We gave him a maintenance day today and some treatment and we’ll see how feels tomorrow,” Hynes said. “We won’t make a decision on him until tomorrow morning.”
