On the Montreal Canadiens …

  • Montreal Canadiens: GM Marc Bergevin: “Everything is going well with Carey’s recovery. There’s nothing new to report. The timeline remains the same.”
  • Renaud Lavoie: Nobody is sure when Carey Price will start skating again. It was to be a minimum of six weeks, and it’s safe to say it will be more than that.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

  • Tim Panaccio of the CSN Philly: Flyers defenseman Michael Del Zotto left practice early yesterday and is questionable for tomorrow night. He suffered either a hand or wrist injury against the Blues before.

“I felt pretty good today and went on the ice and got in the first drill,” Del Zotto said. “It went well and then I took a pass in the second drill and that gave me a lot of discomfort and pain.

“I decided it wasn’t the smartest idea to battle through the pain in a practice two days away from the game. Hopefully, tomorrow it feels better.”

Defenseman Mark Streit could come off the LTIR either today or tomorrow and they’ll need to shed about $860,000 in cap space. They’ll either have to put someone on the LTIR or remove someone from the roster. Coach Dave Hakstol said over the weekend that Shayne Gostisbehere will remain on the top power play unit when Streit returns, meaning that he’ll remain with the team.

On the St. Louis Blues …

  • Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Forward Patrik Berglund has been recently cleared for contact.

“We haven’t had many skates,” Berglund said. “It’s been a lot of pre-game skates and not a whole lot happens in those. So a few more practices like this and we’ll see when they think I’m ready and when I think I’m ready.”

Berglund is still on pace to start playing in early January. He needs to build up his endurance.

Kyle Brodziak could return to the lineup as early as today. He’s been out for five games with a cut on his leg.

On the Boston Bruins …

Joe MacDonald of ESPN: David Krejci is week-to-week with an upper-body according to coach Claude Julien. He left the arena on Sunday with his arm in a sling.

On the Anaheim Ducks …

  • AP on ESPN: The Ducks announced yesterday that Cam Fowler has a sprained knee and that they’ve recalled Shea Theodore. Fowler isn’t expected to make their three game road trip that starts today.

On the New Jersey Devils …

  • Rich Chere of NJ.com: Patrik Elias missed the first 20 games of the season with a knee injury, and he could find himself back on the IR. Elias hasn’t skated since December 19th.

“He’s still not feeling ready to play, so we’ll keep him out for a little bit,” Hynes said.

Elias indicated last week that this knee issue isn’t the same as the one that kept him out at the start of the season.

Tuomo Ruutu is questionable for tonight due to an illness.

On the Minnesota Wild …

On the Ottawa Senators …

On the Arizona Coyotes …

  • Craig Morgan: Martin Hanzal and Boyd Gordon won’t be in the lineup tonight.
  • Sarah McLellan: Steve Downie is questionable for tonight.
