On the Wild …

  • Chad Graff of the Pioneer Press: Zach Parise will skate with teammates today for the first time since spraining his MCL. He is ruled out for tonight, but he could be ready to return on Wednesday against the Canucks. He hasn’t been cleared for contact, but is meeting with doctors today.
  • Chad Graff: Jason Zucker is fine after taking a slash on Thursday night. He’ll play today.

On the Blues …

  • Jeremy Rutherford: Coach Ken Hitchcock said that Colton Parayko may play on Saturday.

On the Red Wings …

  • USA Today: The Red Wings have put Johan Franzen on the LTIR with concussion-like symptoms. He’s out indefinitely.

On the Blue Jackets …

  • Aaron Portzline: Defenseman Cody Goloubef has a broken jaw after being hit in the face by a puck.

On the Flames …

  • Roger Millions: Jiri Hudler missed last night’s game with the flu.
  • Pat Steinberg: Jonas Hiller is about a week away from getting game clearance. Lance Bouma is progressing ahead of schedule, but is still a ways out.

On the Canucks …

  • Ben Kuzma: Coach Willie Desjardins: “Hutton got banged up (Winnipeg). Sutter is out longer than we expected. Vrbata may play (Saturday).”

On the Maple Leafs …

  • Jonas Siegel: Nick Spaling remained out for the Leafs last night.

  • Brent Wallace: Patrick Wiercioch (upper-body) won’t play today. Bobby Ryan is doubtful.
  • Ken Warren: Ryan had originally thought he was injured much worse.

  • Mike Morreale: Auston Matthews (upper-body) is feeling better and hopes to return to Zurich’s lineup on Wednesday.

  • Tim Campbell of the Winnipeg Free Press: Blake Wheeler  was hit with a puck in head during practice.

    “He got off the ice under his own power and he was coherent so we’ll get him checked out,” Jets coach Paul Maurice reported after the practice. “We won’t know until this afternoon or tomorrow.”
