  • Chris Pinkert of Blues.NHL: Coach Ken Hitchcock injury update. Paul Stastny is day-to-day with an upper-body injury and is not ruled out for tonight. Jake Allen is week-to-week with a lower-body injury. Jay Bouwmeester is week-to-week with an upper-body injury. Carl Gunnarsson  is week-to-week with an upper-body injury. Magnus Paajarvi is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

On the Florida Panthers …

  • NHL.com: Defenseman Aaron Ekblad missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury. Ekblad was hit by Matt Hendricks (suspended for three games) on Sunday. There is no timetable for his return.

On the New York Islanders …

  • NHL.com: Defenseman Travis Hamonic will be out two to three weeks with a lower-body injury.

On the Washington Capitals …

  • Isabelle Khurshudyan of the Washington Post: Winger Andre Burakovsky left Sunday’s game after crashing into the boards. Michael Latta missed the game with an upper-body injury. More will be known today when the team practices. The Capitals are already without John Carlson, Brooks Orpik and Jay Beagle. Coach Barry Trotz said that Carlson and Orpik could skate with the team on Tuesday.

On the New Jersey Devils …

  • Rich Chere of NJ.com: Defenseman John Moore has missed the past two games, and is not ready to practice with the team. He skated on his own after practice yesterday.

    “The process is going in the right direction. I don’t think it’s 100 percent yet,” Moore said of the injury suffered in Montreal Jan. 6. “The frustrating thing is it’s progressing. Just not as quickly as you’d like.”

    Mike Cammalleri has been out with an upper-body injury. He could join the team as some point on their road trip.

On the New York Rangers …

  • Pat Leonard: Early indication is that Dan Girardi’s hand is not broken, only cut. More will be known today.

On the Detroit Red Wings …

  • Ansar Khan: Drew Miller will be out at least a month with torn miniscus. He’s heading back to Detroit for further evaluation.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

  • Vancouver Canucks: Defenseman Luca Sbisa: “I’m pretty close to coming back. I’ve been skating a lot on my own and physically I feel great. I should be cleared soon”
  • Thomas Drance: Center Brandon Sutter is “not sure” on his timeline to return to the lineup:  “The hope was, 2 weeks ago, that it would maybe be about now, but it’ll be a bit longer.”

On the Winnipeg Jets …

  • Paul Friesen: Mathieu Perreault is “probable” for tonight. Mark Scheifele is out another five to seven days according to head coach Paul Maurice.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

  • Tim Panaccio: Shayne Gostisbehere left the ice after only warming up the goalies at yesterday’s practice. Not known if he’ll start full practice with the team today.
